FRIEDAcommunity is seeking artists from Philadelphia and the surrounding region to participate in juried art exhibitions mounted throughout the year in an amazing space located adjacent to Independence National Historical Park. Exhibitions vary in size and duration. Additional “Calls for Artists” around specific themes may occur concurrently and will require separate applications.

Call for creative people with an interest in Philadelphia’s history

FRIEDAcommunity is seeking artistic individuals to join us in Phase 2 of our Map Discovery Project, which showcases areas of interest in our neighborhood. Artists of all ages and experience are invited to participate in this creative community activity. After you have registered, FRIEDAcommunity will provide you with a photograph of a specific destination for you to portray. Our goal is to find a variety of artists, each choosing their personalized approach, from pen-and-ink drawings to oil paintings, watercolors, collages, multimedia, 3-dimensional media …

FRIEDAcommunity is proud to announce the launch of a community-based multigenerational cookbook. The initial goal is to publish a free digital version of the book that is available to everyone. You can be sure that this won’t be yet another cookbook. It will be very FRIEDA!
The collaborative cookbook is one of our current projects designed to reach beyond our immediate community while deepening our connection with you, our existing members. The FRIEDAcommunity cookbook is about memories related to food, rather than only about food. It is about you, sharing a story of a loved one, of a funny family tradition, of a special dinner or occasion…

Looking for Italian Language Instructor (Online)
At FRIEDAcommunity, we have one driving goal: to create genuine connections between people of all generations and all social, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. We are currently looking for an Italian language instructor for our online Italian group.
This is a paid job.
The meeting will be biweekly, on Zoom. Start date: Immediate.
