Join us for a fun and creative workshop with tattooist, illustrator, animator, and painter, Henbo Henning, whose work is heavily influenced by traditional and Japanese tattooing. Originally from England, and based in New York since 2017, Henning’s work has been exhibited at Art Basel Miami (2022), and more recently in New York City, NY, and Atlanta GA.
During this workshop Henbo will share some simple techniques and composition guide to animate a simple object or scribble and bring it alive.
Everybody is welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.
I’ve always had an affinity for strange creatures: octopuses, polliwogs, axolotls, monsters great and small, real or fictional. I fantasize that they live amongst us, happily going about their day-to-day existence. I’m sure they took your missing sock or TV remote, hoarding it as treasure. Or perhaps your object itself became a monster and wandered off!
