Join us for a conversation with John Howell White in a more intimate and relaxed setting, over bite size food and a glass of wine.
“… I work from various beginnings, usually small pencil line drawings, sometimes of things, but more often forces. Those beginnings form a field upon which oil and acrylic paint are applied in an expanding range of technical, cognitive, and sensual responses. My task is to develop a conversation with the work that recurs but feels newly formed. Throughout their development, my histories, readings, impulses, and the pulse of the times stimulate improvisation. When complete, the works are ready to be reinterpreted by their beholders.”
