For thousands of years, nature has been a source of inspiration for human artistic endeavors. green, FRIEDA Group Art Exhibition III from November 18 – January 30 explores various representations of nature.
Through this group show, we question its perenniality; how enduring nature actually is, a widely debated concern that becomes more urgent every day.
These artists add another dimension that is often lacking in the current discussion about the environment, one that is emotional, spiritual, at times visceral, essentially human, and a dialogue free of charts, numbers, and theories.
This leads to a central question about social engagement to preserve our planet: would we care more for the environment if we (re)discovered our emotional and spiritual connection to nature?
