MacArthur “Genius,” multi-instrument virtuoso, and genre-defying composer Tyshawn Sorey offers a new musical commission inspired by Houston’s iconic Rothko Chapel and by the work written by Morton Feldman as a tribute to it. Director Peter Sellars reimagines the work for the Armory with a new staging designed for the Drill Hall featuring an enclosed space created by visual artist Julie Mehretu.
