FRIEDAcommunity is proud to announce the upcoming show A Closer Look by Zhen Guo.
The exhibition will be on view from October 9 – December 13, 2026.
Zhen Guo is a leader and pioneering force in American Asian contemporary ink art. Born in Rizhao, Shandong, she trained at the Fine Arts Department of Shandong Art School (1976) and the China Academy of Art (1982), later joining its faculty in the Chinese Painting Department. Her artistic path expanded across continents when she continued her studies at the San Francisco Art College in 1986, followed by a visiting scholarship at York University College of Art in Canada. In 1988, she founded the Zhen Guo Art Studio in New York, establishing an enduring presence in the international art world.

100% of the sale proceeds of any artwork during the exhibition go to the artist. In return, we ask that any selected artist schedules time to engage with our community through a workshop, a demonstration, or a discussion.
