Creative Workshop: The Evolution of a Painting

Join Iwan (John) Nazarewycz for the afternoon and learn about “The Evolution of a Painting”.
Iwan will demonstrate how he builds his work, talk about how the history of art plays a role in his work, and invite the audience to a discussion.

As a painter coming after Modernism, geometry is the tool I use as a guardian against the arbitrary.
It’s also protection against painting for painting’s sake that drains the focus away from the intention and power of the image.
