Green – Reading
Join us for an in-person literary event celebrating an approach to green with debut novels, poetry collections, and new work in a few different genres.
Lauren Hilger is the author of Lady Be Good (CCM, 2016) and Morality Play (Poetry NW Editions, Summer 2022). Named a Nadya Aisenberg Fellow in poetry from MacDowell, her work has appeared or is forthcoming in BOMB, Harvard Review, Kenyon Review, The Threepenny Review, and elsewhere. She serves as a poetry editor for No Tokens.
Dionissios Kollias‘s work has appeared in Hobart, No Dear Magazine, Pinwheel, and elsewhere. He lives in New York.
Isle McElroy‘s debut novel, THE ATMOSPHERIANS, was named a NY Times Editors’ Choice. Other writing appears in The NY Times, NYT Magazine, The Guardian, The Cut, Vulture, GQ, Vogue, The Atlantic, Tin House, and elsewhere. Isle has received fellowships from The Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, The Tin House Summer Workshop, The Sewanee Writers Conference, The Elizabeth George Foundation, and The National Parks Service.
Cassidy McFadzean is the author of Drolleries (McClelland & Stewart 2019), Hacker Packer (M&S 2015), and the chapbook Third State of Being (Gaspereau Press 2022). Her work has appeared in BOAAT, Diode, Yalobusha Review, The Boiler, Denver Quarterly, and elsewhere. She is currently an MFA student at Brooklyn College.
Grant Miller is an urban sci-fi author based in Hartford, Connecticut. He earned his bachelor’s in English with a creative writing concentration from Fairfield University in 2010 and has written five novels since then. Miller self-published the four-book Nephilim Chronicles in 2018 and is currently working on the Archangels Series; the first novel of which released in 2020.
H.R. Webster has received fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center, the Helen Zell Writers’ Program, and the Fine Arts Work Center. Her work has appeared in the Guernica, POETRY, Black Warrior Review, Iowa Review, and Ecotone. Her collection, What Follows, is available now for preorder from Black Lawrence Press. hrwebster.com.
