Blue-Skinned Gods by SJ Sindu

The Book Club was created in FRIEDA’s early days. This is a dynamic and evolving group, with members from diverse personal and professional backgrounds making the discussion engaging and, at times, pointed.
The curated program helps us fine-tune our book suggestions. When there is no curated theme, members of the book club suggest book and vote for their choice at a gathering (or by a “little survey”).
We tend to read fiction, but that is not always the case.
By picking the books with enough time in advance, everybody has time to find them at local libraries.

If you are interested in sharing your perspective, please join us!

Jessica has been part of the book club at FRIEDA since 2017. The first book she read with the group was The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George. She loved the book discussion so much that she took on a leading role within book club. Jessica is a native Virginian who has lived in the Philly area for over a decade. Works by Fredrik Backman and Rachel Joyce count among her favorite reads with book club at FRIEDA.

We would like to remind you the following zoom etiquette:

  • Please sign-in 2 to 3 minutes early. Late-shows are disruptive for the group and may not be able to join.
  • As a mutual courtesy, we do ask that all participants have their camera on. No one will be allowed without their camera on.
  • Be mindful of other participants.
